A big thank you to all Treaty of Waitangi translators who have delivered their translations!

Here’s another quick update on the languages still needed for the Treaty Times Thirty project, and which languages are ready to go through to the collaboration stage.

We have received enough translations for the following languages:

  • Chinese
  • Dutch
  • French
  • German
  • Italian
  • Portuguese
  • Russian
  • Spanish

These languages will go through to the collaboration stage shortly. We’ll keep you updated as soon as we have more details.

We urgently need translators for the following languages:

  • Afrikaans
  • Bislama
  • Danish
  • Farsi
  • Gujarati
  • Hindi
  • Javanese
  • Korean
  • Romanian
  • Tagalog
  • Vietnamese

Please contact us at treaty@nzsti.org if you or a colleague can help translate the Treaty of Waitangi into one of these languages.

We may need more translators for:

  • Esperanto
  • Japanese
